Pittsburg State students have transformed local history into an interactive digital experience through a partnership with the Miners Hall Museum in nearby Franklin, Kansas.

Two Pittsburg State students have taken their classroom lessons and turned them into fully operational businesses.

Ten years after the completion of Pittsburg State University’s Robert W. Plaster Center, it continues to prove itself as one of the region’s most powerful economic drivers. Now, university and city leaders are looking ahead to the next transformative project: a new outdoor track and field complex located just south of the Plaster Center.

Pittsburg State University, a longtime leader in using an approach based in science to help students struggling to read, now will play an active role in helping to retrain classroom teachers and train soon-to-be teachers in using that approach. 

Sure, Pittsburg State is the only university in the nation with a Gorilla mascot. But Pitt State has another bragging right: many academic programs and partnerships also are unique.
