Kevin Fry and his mother, Denise Grasso, have owned and operated Pairott Head since December of 2016. They had talked before about owning a business together, but they didn’t expect to sell alcohol.

To answer the question heard all around Pittsburg … no, it’s not just toast. The full menu includes a variety of items from salads and soup to gelato and “Big A$$ Cinnamon Rolls”.

Two craft breweries have opened in Downtown Pitt in the past couple years, and combined they have completely changed the beer game in town.

Celebrations is the 4-state area’s largest retail cake decorating and candy making supply shop. Horton’s shop offers brands like Wilton, Magic Line, AmeriColor, Satin Ice, CK Products, Bakery Crafts, and others. She also offers Wilton Cake Decorating classes, which are available year-round. 

From local coffee shops like Signet and Root Coffeehouse to chain shops like Starbucks and Scooters, Pittsburg residents have many choices when it comes to a nice cup of joe.

Like a lot of people who didn’t grow up in Pittsburg, Shelly Basgall moved here to attend Pitt State. And like many college students, she needed a place to earn some money while in school. That’s when she met Ahmad Enayati. The menu changes. The staff changes. The space changes. There was the fire. Then Covid. Then the recovery.

To most people, it’s just Brick + Mortar. To the regulars, it’s just Brick. To the staff, it’s Brick + Mortar Social House. For a reason.

It started in his garage, got a boost at the Farmers Market, and now The Meat Shed is a staple in South Pittsburg.
