2023 MEDIA RELEASE FROM THE PITTSBURG ARTS COUNCIL
The Pittsburg Arts Council proudly presents: Spring ArtWalk 2023! Our flagship event will be held Friday, April 21, 2023, from 5-9pm, in downtown Pittsburg, Kansas.
Over 100 participants will be in attendance, including over 50 artists, 4 main stage bands, 10 musical acts, 17 organizations, and 22 vendors! The quickest, most direct way to support artists is to buy their products using cash. If you decide not to purchase art from an artist, but appreciate their work, consider giving a cash donation. Monetary donations allow artists to continue doing what they love.
Don’t forget to swing by TJ Lelands from 5:30 to 8:30, there will be a poetry and fiction reading with an open mic at the end. Grab a drink while you’re there!
Grab a boozy beverage at one of our participating common consumption establishments: TJ Lelands, TOAST, and The Pitt. Just make sure to rock that wristband accessory and stay within the barricaded boundaries of the ArtWalk!
SEK Humane Society, Pittsburg Public Library, Guardians of the Children, and several more local not-for-profit organizations will be on site with art related activities for our youngest attendees.
Vendors galore! Several food trucks will be serving up delectable dishes ranging from street tacos to mac and cheese to funnel cakes. Several local businesses will be on location showing their support for art in our community and providing fun art projects for the kids.
We will have four area bands performing during the ArtWalk located at our Main Stage area or as we like to call it The Waterfall Music Hall in Europe Park. We have introduced 6 additional stage areas this year: inside Eclectic Soul Studio, the East 6th street intersection, the B22 courtyard in front of the Pitsco Idea Shop, inside TOAST, a performance stage located at the 7th street crosswalk in front of The Finishing Touch, and one final stage location in the 6th street intersection that will be sure to spark your interest!

The next ArtWalk will be held on September 29th.
