More than 1,500 wrestlers compete in this two-day event, plus coaches and family members. Local organizers hope to hold this event in Pittsburg every other year, in even years.

This small town festival is a celebration of the region’s mining history and the community’s immigrant heritage. Activities include a car show, live music, kids games, as well as school reunions.

This small rural town picnic is celebrated at a park where old Jefferson Highway comes from Pittsburg, Kansas to the north, but splits and heads towards Baxter Springs, Kansas and Joplin, Missouri to the south. Activities include a turtle race, bingo, cakewalk, and pot-luck.

Arma V-J Homecoming
After World War II, veterans returning to Arma they threw a community wide party in 1947. It is now the longest, continuous festival in the U.S. celebrating the end of WWII.

A fair has been held in Crawford County since 1867, and it has been at its current home since 1936. In addition to 4-H competitions, there is a Barnyard Olympics, Mutton Busting, Rodeos, Kids Tractor Pull, Bull Bash, Demolition Derby, and live music on the fairway.
