Honoring America’s Deceased Veterans.

On Memorial Day the Pittsburg Avenue of Flags raises up to 895 flags of deceased American Veterans at Highland Park Cemetery in Pittsburg, KS.

We begin at 5:00 am raising the flags and retire them beginning at 4:00 pm; all this is done by volunteers. We will need help on the Sunday before Memorial Day at 1:00 pm to set out the poles; and on Memorial Day at 5:00 am and 4:00 pm to raise and retire the flags.
